Steve Collett Breaks Venue Record

The other competitors were left green with envy after Division one national champion Steve Collett blew the match record out of sight at this weeks Valley Pool open.

The top all-round specialist and match angler fed only Dynamite’s Swim Stim Betaine Green Groundbait loose in his cup, and fished double worm on the hook. Using this method steve amassed 156lb 8oz of Carp and Chub, almost 100lb clear of his rivals.

"I picked this tip up a few weeks ago from Matt Mcguiness, who told me to just feed wet Green Swim Stim, not slop but just enough to get it down in three feet of water, this left the fish in a frenzy, and my hookbait was the only real meal down there" Steve told us

Steve also went on to win a 50 pegger on Izzak Walton fishery Chebsey with 39.3lb on a very hard day. 3mm Green Swim stim pellets being the right choice to give him the result.
