Brown Banks Second Twenty In A Fortnight

After banking his First 20lb Pike Of 2011 last week, Mick Brown has started to make up for time lost to the ‘big-freeze’ and has already landed another fish over the magical 20lb mark when other anglers might have already headed for home.
Mick was targeting a Cambridgeshire Stillwater and due to the cold and still conditions, he hadn’t had as much as a sniff throughout the day but Mick’s vast experience of how pike feed kept him on the bank.
“With the water being so clear, I expected a run at dusk, as the light faded,” Mick explained.
“Right on cue, just as I was thinking about packing up, I twitched one of my popped-up Dynamite Baits Smelt Deadbaits towards the boat and straight away it was grabbed by this pike which I landed after a decent battle.
“It was the only fish of an uneventful day but, at 20lb 6oz, it was well worth the wait,” added Mick.
